How Does Alltrue Work?
Every three months, you’ll receive a box of products worth $200+. The boxes are set to ship 4x per year. You can signup as an Annual Member (pay for the year in advance, with added perks) or as a Quarterly Member (pay per box seasonally). To sign up, first, you’ll need to select a membership type. After that, you’ll create an account, enter your payment information, then wait for the upcoming season’s box to arrive at your door.
What’s Inside an Alltrue Box?
Alltrue is delivered on a seasonal schedule— spring, summer, fall, and winter. Each box offers 6-8 new products that are customizable or a complete surprise, depending on your membership type and your preference. The product offerings range anywhere from wellness products, housewares, and art to jewelry, accessories, apparel, and beauty products.
One of the distinguishing features of this box is that it comes with a magazine that contains the story behind every product included. This allows you to learn about the items you’re paying for and how they were sourced. Talk about shopping for a cause!
You never know what you’re going to get, but you can feel confident about whatever you do get. If you sign up for the annual subscription service, you get the added flexibility to customize some of the products in your box.
How Much Does Alltrue Cost?
If you sign up for the annual membership ($199.80) your four boxes back out to $49.95 per box. The annual subscription option requires customers to pay a one-time fee upfront. This one-time payment gets you four boxes, delivered every three months.
If that’s too much of a commitment and you’d rather go with a quarterly membership, the cost of each box is $54.95. If you opt for the quarterly membership and end up getting a whole year’s worth, you will end up paying $20 more than Annual Members. You can also just join as a Quarterly Member to try just the one box before deciding if you want to commit to the annual membership.
In terms of shipping, Alltrue shipping is free in the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska ($7.95 shipping fee). Alltrue ships to Canada for $7.95 as well, with no additional charge for duties or taxes.
Alltrue Summer Intro 2020 Box: My Honest Review
Get ready for the summer season with a new quarterly box from Alltrue! Now as this was my first box as part of my new annual membership, this box came slightly differently compared a regular seasonal box. Instead of being a typical Alltrue Summer 2020 box, I actually received the Summer Intro 2020 Box.
The Alltrue Intro Box is extra-special in that it’s filled with five of Alltrue’s favorite and best products ever. So why do they do that? This is so that they give new members the warmest welcome possible, and I must say, based on all of the amazing products in this Intro Box, the Alltrue team certainly didn’t disappoint.
Since becoming an official CAUSEBOX/Alltrue annual member in 2020, I have been loving every minute of it (I even wish these boxes could be delivered on a monthly basis). The Summer Intro 2020 box was such a delight–I can’t wait to see what Alltrue will deliver in the following months to come! Without further ado, let’s take a peek at what’s inside the Alltrue Summer Intro 2020 box!
The Alltrue Summer Intro Box 2020 – Total Retail Value: $156 USD
So excited for my first Alltrue unboxing. Now before we dive in, I wanted to mention that since this was the first Alltrue in my annual membership series, I did not get the opportunity to customize this quarter’s products.
Box Customization is one of the most popular perks of the Annual Alltrue membership. Annual Members can customize 3-4 products in their box. Customizations can include different colors and styles of the same product, or even a selection between several different products. This is something I’ll be looking forward to next quarter for sure.
Alltrue First Impressions
Based on the exterior look only, I was very impressed with the Summer 2020 Box! The box featured a colorful design by Anna Kovecses from Cyprus. I found a mini-mag and a postcard sitting on top of the box and noticed that the front of the postcard featured her whimsical artwork as well. If you didn’t know, each one of Alltrue’s box designs (and the corresponding postcard within the box) will feature a new artist. You’ll be able to learn more about that artist in the magazine provided. This is such a great way to celebrate artists from all over the globe!
In flipping through the mini-magazine, I found it to be jam-packed with educational and entertaining material. There were articles about the products received in the box, Alltrue’s core values, “the hidden cost of the cheapest price”, and which certifications the Alltrue teams values most (USDA Organic, Leaping Bunny/Cruelty-Free Certified, Fair Trade Certified, FSC Certified, and many more). At the end of the magazine was an entire page dedicated to Members-only discounts and promo codes from the brands featured in the Summer Box.

PMD Beauty PMD Clean in Navy – Retail Value: $99
PMD Clean is a smart facial cleansing device highly rated and loved by clean beauty connoisseurs from all over the world! Since I was unfamiliar with this brand (yet it was so highly-esteemed), I read up on PMD Beauty and fell in love with their mission. They donate a portion of profits to initiatives ranging from supporting refugees in Greece to providing menstrual supplies and education to girls around the world.

This tote bag was designed exclusively for the Alltrue community. The best part? Each one supports ocean conservation efforts! This bag could not have come at a better time. It’s design is light and airy, perfect for those summertime vibes.

AltCooking Hub Set of 6 Silicone Stretch Lids – Retail Value: $8
Created to reduce plastic and food waste in the kitchen, these silicone stretch lids are durable, reusable, and leak-free. I cannot wait to finish up my roll of plastic wrap and never buy another roll of plastic wrap ever. Having these silicone stretch lids alongside our beeswax wraps is going to be just enough to overhaul our use of plastic in the kitchen for good.

Grace & Stella Hyaluronic Acid Serum – Retail Value: $25
This hyaluronic acid serum is going to be my new hydration super power well past the summer season. While it’ll leave skin dewy and radiant throughout the summer season, it will serve to combat the driest of skins in the winter! I can’t wait to work this into my skincare regimen (which sadly currently only consists of moisturizer, with the occasional dab of serum).

Wyld French Pink Clay Konjac Sponge – Retail Value: $16
A beautiful, plant-based, vegan, and biodegradable exfoliating facial tool. I have used cleansing sponges before and have loved them. When I first touched the sponge, I was quite intimidated by its hardness. But once I wet it, I found that this was the softest sponge ever! It feels so light and fluffy against my skin and almost feels as if it’s not there. Definitely a keeper for those days where I’m in need of some facial exfoliation.

Retail Value of my Alltrue Summer Intro Box: $156

Overall, my Alltrue Summer Intro 2020 Box was exciting to unbox! Out of the five products received, I will certainly use 100% of the items at some point this season, so I think I got really lucky there.
However, I was expecting the total cost of the box to be worth slightly more. There were two products that retailed at $8 each and one at $16, which seemed a bit low to me (given that this was an intro box and the goal was to wow new members). Having said that, the PMD was the star of the show, coming in at a whopping $99 retail value, so I can’t complain too much!
I would say that not having my Customization perk for my first box was a bummer, but I get it– Alltrue wants to make sure its new members are getting the best of the best.
The straw tote and the silicone stretch lids received this quarter are probably my two favorite items received as part of this box. They’re just so darn functional! I’ll definitely be using the straw tote for my summer beach days, farmers market morning, and day-to-day shopping. The silicone stretch covers will most definitely be taking over my use of plastic wrap. And honestly, I didn’t even know a product like this existed, so I’m quite thankful for Alltrue exposing me to more sustainable, eco-friendly products.
When it comes to the best women’s lifestyle boxes, the competition narrows down to Alltrue and FabFitFun. I have an annual subscription to FabFitFun as well, but I’m starting to find that my FabFitFun membership is better for skincare, apparel, and other beauty-related products. Alltrue, on the other hand, is great for functional items around the home. This is why I think I actually prefer Alltrue over FabFitFun (yes, this means I’m getting old).
Now a few thoughts on value. Bought separately, the products in my Summer Intro 2020 Alltrue would likely total way more than $50. The PMD Clean costs $99 retail alone! This box states that its “retail value” is $156, which is a realistic estimate. I would have easily paid $100+ for the entire set of items I received. Luckily, it only cost me $50 with my annual membership!
But you know what I value more than anything? The ability to discover new brands and products that I might otherwise never try in my life. I love that Alltrue mixes in sustainable home and kitchen products frequently alongside natural products that promote health, wellness, and self-care. All in all, I’d say my Summer Intro 2020 Alltrue is completely worth the $50 I paid, even if I didn’t get to customize my box this quarter.

Considering Subscribing To Alltrue?
Alltrue offers customers two subscription options: the quarterly subscription ($54.95 per box), and the annual subscription ($49.95 per box, a total of $199.80 per year). My recommendation? Go for the annual–you won’t regret it.
The annual fee might seem steep for 4 boxes throughout the year, but if you consider the fact that the average box contains $150+ worth of product, this is actually quite a steal. If you’re more frugal, minimalistic, and only buy what you know to be tried and true, then a Alltrue subscription might not be for you.
However, if you love trying new products, supporting ethical and socially-conscious brands, and are open to discovering new lifestyle and wellness products, Alltrue is definitely a great subscription to get.
